NOTICE TO ATTENDEES – CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

By entering the Tiaro Field Day site, all attendees acknowledge and agree that:

  • Entry to the Tiaro Field Day is at their own risk. Attendees accept full responsibility for their own safety and wellbeing, and for the safety of any children or persons under their care.
  • The Tiaro Field Day involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, livestock and animals, machinery and equipment, uneven ground, weather conditions, and large crowds.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, landholders, and office-bearers accept no responsibility or liability for any injury, illness (including communicable and zoonotic diseases), loss, damage, or theft suffered by any attendee.
  • Attendees agree to comply with all reasonable directions given by event organisers, officials, signage, and emergency services, and with any applicable Queensland Government public health and safety requirements in force at the time of the event.
  • Attendees must exercise reasonable care at all times and acknowledge that failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from the event site.
  • Weather Conditions: The Tiaro Field Day will proceed in most weather conditions. The event will only be cancelled, delayed, or modified in the event of extreme weather or where safety concerns require such action. Rain or showers alone will not result in cancellation of the event. Any decision regarding weather impacts will be made by the organisers and is final.
  • By entering the event, attendees consent to the use of photographs, video, or other recordings taken at the event for promotional, marketing, or reporting purposes without compensation.

This is a rain-or-shine event held in a field. Please dress appropriately.

NO DOGS POLICY

For the safety of your dog and the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all attendees,

Tiaro Field Day 2026 has a “No Dogs Policy” that complies with current Queensland and federal law, including: Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Act 2009 (Qld), the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.:

  1. General Rule – No Companion Dogs or Pets:
    • Domestic dogs or other companion animals are not permitted at the Tiaro Field Day at any time. This exclusion is for public safety, livestock welfare, and animal management reasons, including ensuring that your dog is safe from any zoonotic diseases that may be passed on to them by livestock.

                 YOU WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY.

  1. Assistance Dogs / Service Animals (Allowed):
    • A guide, hearing, or assistance dog (certified assistance animals) is permitted entry. This is in accordance with the Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Act 2009 (Qld) and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth),
    • This includes certified assistance dogs and, where applicable, handlers with valid identification for their assistance dog.
    •  You will be required to produce evidence that the dog is a certified assistance animal (ID card as shown below). An "Assistance Dog" harness purchased online does not provide the animal any public access rights. An ID card from a registered PAT (Public Access Test) organisation is required to be shown prior to entry. (Yes, we are allowed to ask for evidence. We are not allowed to ask about why you have an Assistance dog).

  2. Animal Control and Behaviour:
    • All animals permitted on site (e.g. assistance dogs) must at all times be:
      A) Under effective control by a responsible adult; and
      B) On a lead and well-behaved.
    • Any animal that displays aggressive or unsafe behaviour may be asked to leave the event for the safety of others.

  3. Owner/Handler Responsibilities:
    • Handlers must clean up after their animals and dispose of waste appropriately.
    • Failure to do so, or failure to maintain control of the animal, may result in removal from the event.
